850a 1943 Pattern Escape Boots - Click for the bigger picture Sold1943 Pattern Escape Boots - Superb RAF pair, Ref. 22C/919 in Size 7 (41). These boots, based on the design of Major Clayton Hutton, are totally original, however the concealed knife is absent. Original zips, broad arrow marked, hard to fault.
1432 1941 Pattern Flying Boots - Click for the bigger picture Sold1941 Pattern Flying Boots - excellent pair, Ref. 22C/749 in Size 6 (39). Original Lightning zips, near unmarked suede and rubber galosh. Original "Itshide" soles, ankle straps fitted, ex RAF career Lancaster Pilot.
1487 1941 Pattern Flying Gloves - Click for the bigger picture Sold1941 Pattern Flying Gloves - RAF, Ref. 22C/753 Size 10. Characteristic slanted zips fitted, in good working order. Like most RAF wartime gloves, the left and the right were made by different contractors (to reduce the liklehood of theft), but appear to have been worn as a pair. In excellent service condition.
1088b 1933 Pattern Flying Gauntlets - Click for the bigger picture Sold1933 Pattern Flying Gauntlets - RAF/RAAF, Ref. 22C/261 Size 9. Original Lightning zips fitted. Overall excellent condition with minor service wear.
1431 'D' Type Flying Gauntlets - Click for the bigger picture Sold'D' Type Flying Gauntlets - RAF, Ref. 22C/771. Nice AM cloth labels with AID stamps. Excellent leather. These gloves have been mismatched at some stage, as one size difference between left and right, but they appear to have been worn as a pair.
722 Luftwaffe WWII Flying Jacket - Click for the bigger picture SoldLuftwaffe WWII Flying Jacket - for Flight Over Water. Grey/Blue leather with Shearling lining and fur collar. The waist band has been replaced and the cuffs have leather repairs. Chest size 42" (107cm).
563 Luftwaffe Flight Suit - Click for the bigger picture SoldLuftwaffe Flight Suit - post-war, nylon. To fit height: 6' (183 cm). Mint unissued condition.
564 Luftwaffe Post-War Gloves - Click for the bigger picture SoldLuftwaffe Post-War Gloves - in grey leather with popper fastener, fabric lining, small size.
853 Luftwaffe Flying Gauntlets - Click for the bigger picture SoldLuftwaffe Flying Gauntlets - brown leather, unlined with tightening strap. Excellent original condition and a good size.
1435 Luftwaffe 'Fliegerkombi' - Click for the bigger picture SoldLuftwaffe 'Fliegerkombi' - WWII Issue First Pattern, this pattern is associated with the Battle of Britain in "salt and pepper" fabric, with horizontal crotch zip. This suit is unusual in that it has been manufacturer modified - a ring pull emergency release system has been added. Manufacturer's label Striegel and Wagner with modification label to Karl Heisler, Berlin. The suit is stamped Fl-Gr. G6PP, which we think is the issue unit number. All the zips are original - it is superb condition. This early modified suit would be hard to better.
1610 Luftwaffe WWII Flying Boots - Click for the bigger picture SoldLuftwaffe WWII Flying Boots - in very good original condition. Zips are in working order with original leather pulls, manufactured by Opti. The soles, which show signs of service wear, are marked "Original Wilop". Leather and suede uppers are in excellent shape - there is a period repair to the heel area of the right boot. Excellent fur lined interior. Manufacturer's label obscured, but approximate Size 9/10 (Continental 43/44).
1185 WWII German Military Life Vest - Click for the bigger picture SoldWWII German Military Life Vest - This type of jacket was issued by the Kriegsmarine, but they were also used by the Luftwaffe, both with the "Seenothilfe" (Search and Rescue Units) and by operational aircrew. An identical jacket has been excavated on the wreck of a Battle of Britain Bomber, to prove the point! Ours is in very good original condition - there is a fitted gas inflation bottle - all straps and buckles are in place, with no perishing to the fabric.
459 Luftwaffe Brown Leather Service Belt - Click for the bigger picture SoldLuftwaffe Brown Leather Service Belt - used by "other ranks", with alloy buckle bearing the Luftwaffe emblem. We bought this as an original item, but believe that the buckle may be a reproduction. We have priced, and are selling, on this basis. Ideal for re-enactment.
276 USAAF Shearling Flying Jacket - Click for the bigger picture SoldUSAAF Shearling Flying Jacket - lined, Ground Crew issue (mechanic's), Chest size 42" (107cm).
369 USAAF Shearling Flight Jacket - Click for the bigger picture SoldUSAAF Shearling Flight Jacket - lined ANJ4. This jacket, which replaced the B3, is the highest specification of all the Army Airforce jackets of WWII. Chest size 38" (97cm).
258 Spalding Leather Flight Suit - Click for the bigger picture SoldSpalding Leather Flight Suit - made in USA c.1930's, some wear but generally in excellent original condition. To fit height 5' 6" (168cm).
275 RCAF WWII Flying Overboots - Click for the bigger picture SoldRCAF WWII Flying Overboots - lightning zips, brown leather upper/rubber galosh.
278 USAAF Shoe-Insert - Click for the bigger picture SoldUSAAF Shoe-Insert - Flying, Electric type AAF Q-1. To fit inside flying boots in cold conditions in conjunction with the F-3 and F-3a electrically heated suits. Fully stamped, mint unissued condition.
558 USAAF Flying Gloves - Click for the bigger picture SoldUSAAF Flying Gloves - WWII, A-9 Winter weight, Shearling lining, mitten/fingers.
1188 USAAF B3 Flight Jacket - Click for the bigger picture SoldUSAAF B3 Flight Jacket - WWII. This original jacket has a great patina and original label confirming contract date 1942. Interestingly, it has a period replacement zip manufactured by Dot and A.M. stamped! Size marked at 36" (92 cm) but seems to fit significantly bigger. We are told this jacket was used on the Monte Carlo Rally in the early 1950's.
