BOAC Giro Direction Indicator

Manufactured by Sperry and marked on dial serial no. B1143-37, so we are assuming it takes back to 1937. The 0-360 degree scale is operated by a control to the front and interestingly the transfer applied to the top of the case states BOAC Croydon Repair, so it appears was originally fitted to a pre-war airliner. The front of the dial has been repainted and it is sold as a collector's item. Width of dial 4.5" (12 cm)
