RFC Napkin Ring

A scarce and extremely decorative silver Royal Flying Corp napkin ring. This is engraved to the front with the RFC initials and above No. 1 Squadron April 1912. This squadron was formed on 13th April, 1912 at Farnborough by redesignating 1 (Airship) Company, Air Battalion and Royal Engineers and represents the first squadron in the newly formed Royal Flying Corp. The inside of the ring is feintly stamped silver but no hallmarks are present.
