Brass Head Boat hook

An attractive original example, we estimate dating to the mid 20th centuary, with a cast double hook tip. The metal has a most attractive patina and we can't decide if this is brass or bronze. This is held in place on the hardwood pole by a heavy bolt. Whilst for sale as a collectable, like all out stock, it is a very solid heavily made item and we see no reason why it should not be used for its original purpose, if you are fortunate enough to own an appropriate classic boat. The pole and hook measure 62" (158 cm) and the width of the hook is 4.25" (11 cm).
