HMS Emerald Napkin ring
Was an Emerald-class light cruiser of the Royal Navy. She was built by Armstrong at Newcastle-on-Tyne, 1918. She was launched in 1920 and commissioned 1926. She was paid off to the reserve fleet in 1937 but recommissioned and served throughout WWII and had Battle honours for the Atlantic and Normandy in 1944 when she was part of Force K supporting landings on Gold Beach. She was broken up in Scotland in 1948. Our napkin ring carries the ships crest and name as well as the Irish shamrock logo. The back is marked EPNS. The silver plate shows minor age wear but is generally in nice clean condition. Measures 2" (5 cm)
